Getting started

Quick tour

The five main sections of Huff, and what each one is for.

The sidebar has five sections. On a phone, they are the tabs along the bottom. Your profile, organization, and billing are in the menu behind your avatar.

Discover

Discover is where you find work. It shows a map of the sites in your markets next to a list of the ones in view. A Map and List switch changes the view, and Huff remembers your choice.

Narrow the results with these filters:

  • Search by project, street, or company
  • State and city
  • When the project data was received
  • Minimum acres
  • Stage, which is how far along the site is

Save a set of filters and a map area from the Views menu to come back to it later.

Open a site to see its project data, the companies tied to it, and its Satellite view, a beta feature that shows recent satellite images of larger sites. From there you can choose Start pursuing, Not interested, or open the site in your maps app.

Pipeline

Pipeline is what your team is pursuing, on the stages your organization defined. Everyone on a team sees the same board. New organizations start with Pursuing, Quoted, Won, and Lost, and can rename or reorder them.

Other teams in your organization see only that a place is pursued by your team, not its stage or your notes. Owners and admins see every team's board.

Export the board to CSV at any time.

Companies

Companies is your organization's book of business, with two tabs:

  • Your companies: the companies you sell to, with their contacts, logged interactions, and locations. You can add them one at a time or import a CSV.
  • Find companies: contractor offices based in your markets, busiest first, so you can visit an office when you are in the area. Use Save to Companies to add one to your book.

Routes

Routes is where you plan a day of visits. Pick from your sites, projects, and companies, then put the stops in order. With two or more stops, Huff can reorder them for the shortest drive.

Open the finished route in Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze. Google Maps and Apple Maps take the whole route. Waze takes one destination at a time.

Dashboard

The Dashboard is where your day starts. An activity map of your markets sits next to a panel with two views:

  • My day: visits to log, the sites closest to you, and today's route.
  • Team: what your team recently pursued.

If your organization uses it, Ask Huff is at the top of the page. It is an assistant that answers questions about your markets and your data.
