Data and permissions

What the connector can read and change, how markets limit it, and how your data is used.

The connector has the same access as the person who connected it, inside the organization they approved. It cannot see anything that person could not see in the Huff app.

Market limits

An organization's markets, plus 2 miles past their edges, limit what the connector can see of project data. This matches the Huff app. If a team is limited to some markets, its members get those markets, and owners and admins get all of them.

  • search_signals searches only inside the markets.
  • get_site returns details only inside the markets. Outside them, it returns the locality and nothing else.
  • start_pursuing and create_route refuse a site outside the markets.

These parts of Huff are not limited by markets:

  • market_overview is the one exception for project data. It returns counts for every locality Huff tracks, so a rep can see where activity is. It returns no sites, addresses, or companies.
  • Your organization's own records. Companies, contacts, interactions, and leads belong to your organization and do not depend on a market. Leads and route stops stay listed if a market is later removed.

Who did what

Changes are recorded under the person who connected. Interactions logged through the connector are also marked as made through AI.

Your data and AI training

Huff does not use your data, or anything sent through the connector, to train AI models.

Huff receives the tool calls Claude makes and returns their results. It does not receive the rest of your conversation. Once a result reaches Claude, Anthropic handles it under the terms of your Claude plan, including whether conversations can be used to improve its models. Check your Claude plan and privacy settings if this matters to your organization.

Huff's privacy policy covers how Huff handles personal information.
