Glossary
What Huff's terms mean.
Account
A company in your organization's book of business, with its contacts and logged interactions. The app calls these Companies. The connector's tools call them accounts. Colleagues in an organization share one book.
Contact
A person at a company in your book, with a name and optional title, email, phone, and notes.
Lead
A place on a team's Pipeline. A team has at most one lead for a place, and a lead sits at one stage.
Market
One city or county that your organization has bought. Your markets decide which project data you can see: full details inside them and up to 2 miles past their edges, counts only elsewhere.
Pursuing
What it means when your team has put a site on its Pipeline. Your teammates see the same lead. Other teams in your organization see only that your team is pursuing it, though owners and admins see every board.
Route
An ordered list of stops for a day of driving. It belongs to the person who made it. Stops can be sites, projects, or companies in the app. Routes made through the connector use site stops, up to 25.
Signal
One dated piece of project data tied to a place, such as a new project or a change to one. Several signals can point to the same site.
Site
A physical place where work is happening or planned. A site collects the signals tied to that location, along with its address, size in acres, stage, and the companies tied to it.
Stage
Huff uses this word for two things.
Pipeline stage: where a lead is on your team's board. Your organization names these and sets their order. New organizations start with Pursuing, Quoted, Won, and Lost. Each one has a fixed kind: open, won, or lost.
Site stage: how far along a site is. A site's stage is the furthest any of its signals has reached, and it only moves forward. The values are proposed, new_ground, permitted, and out_to_bid. In the app, Discover's stage filter uses these. new_ground means land is being cleared before anyone is bidding.
